Oh dear, Colin W@nker
Neil Warnock, the manager of Cardiff City FC, was accused of making players pay him part of their wages to ensure they got into the team, a committee of MPs has heard.

One of Warnock's players alleged that he gave players "extra wages and appearance bonus to make sure they pay him to get in the team or on the bench".

The claim was made by Jason Puncheon, who played for Warnock in 2014 when Warnock was manager of Premier League side Crystal Palace and also played for him during a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers in 2011.

Where Warnock's concerned I've got mixed feelings. He's screamed at his players from the touch line to break opponents legs, and he has a long track record of dodgy behaviour. When one of his teams were down to 9 men didn't he tell a player to get sent off so the game would be abandoned?
In his favour he said this of El Hadji Diouf; "I'd call him a sewer rat, but that would be insulting to sewer rats".
He got that right.

Zico, he was a massive fan of Ludo as well. He wanted to call him Ludo in the studio but the others insisted on calling him Miklosko.

His Notts County side kicked us off the field at the end of the season though, which made me hate him. The title was there for the taking.

"all this time the new Den still feels like a neutral ground"

It will to life long supporters, but new ones, ones that have just started it's different

I've always liked Warnock since he was a pundit on TV at the FA Cup Semi Final defeat against Forest in 1990. Seem to remember he slated Hackett for sending off Tony Gale and had nothing but good to say about the fans singing for the entire second half.

Re: Oh dear, Colin W@nker
I dont mind him. He was on Danny Bakers show the other week, said that the BOLEYN ground was one of his favourites. Along with the old DEN. Baker summed it up nicely saying that even after all this time the new Den still feels luke a neutral ground. Told West Ham fans to expect to feel the same way.

Lets hope theses MPs are also going to ask Morrison & O'Brien some questions. It could get interesting.

Brusque, old-fashioned manager.

Probably doesn't realise that using agents to screw your club is safer than d.i.y.

Re: Oh dear, Colin W@nker
not exactly the same but pretty similar.

apparently used to go down the bench with about 5 minutes left, ask who was on appearance money, then put on who was on the most on the condition it was split 50/50

Re: Oh dear, Colin W@nker
i quite like Warnock. He is one of those types who you love if they are your manager but hate if he isnt.

always says nice stuff about us, just dont mention Tevez or the Premier League!!

Yep, Puncheon tweeted about it 2 years ago after Warnock dug him out on TV I think.

I posted the same story about Warnock on the BFS thread about a month ago, although it was regarding his time at Leeds.

Hasn't this come out before against him? I'm sure I heard this years ago
